COURSE CONTENT

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is sometimes referred to as a ‘Vampire’ or ‘Dracula Facial’, made famous by Kim Kardashian. Although facials are what we will be mainly concentrating on during this course, PRP can also be used for joint regeneration and pain and to assist hair growth (especially post-hair transplants).

PRP is the process of taking a client’s blood, and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, and then micro needling this back into client’s skin, normally around the forehead and eyes, to rejuvenate any fine lines.

The treatment is praised for being completely natural and safe, using the client’s own plasma, to stimulate the growth and healing in the skin.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is not for beginners. It is important that you are already capable of taking blood from the client. You must have previously attended a Venepuncture Practices & Techniques (or similar) course.

This course is perfect for an experienced phlebotomist who would like to enhance their skills, and utilise their talent for taking blood in order to offer a new service.

EQUIPMENT

You will get the chance to refresh your venepuncture skills using training arms if necessary, before having the chance to practice preparing and delivering a PRP facial treatment to one of your class mates or a model (feel free to bring your own model if you have a friend or family member who would like a free treatment).

TIMINGS

This is a 1 day course.

There is an online element to complete before the face-to-face day, which should take you around 3-4 hours.

The face-to-face day starts at 09:30, and, depending on the size of the group, can continue until 16:30.

GROUP SIZES

Group sizes are kept small, to get the best 1:1 experience with the trainers. Minimum group size is 2. Maximum group size is 4.

ACCREDITATION

All of our wellness courses are certificated by Doctor Wellness, a leading aesthetic academy. This training is approved by insurance providers to enable you to provide these services commercially. The course is delivered by our sister company iN phlebotomy training, and is accredited by the CPD certification service, which means they are internationally recognised as part of your portfolio of training.

This course counts as 25 CPD hours.

REFRESHMENTS

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the course. Kettle and microwave facilities are also available. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Please note: This course is not delivered in one of our normal training centres, and is instead delivered at: ME Aesthetic Lounge, 108 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JB.
