COURSE CONTENT

This 2 day course bundle combines all the courses you need to be able to become a first class phlebotomist.

It combines everything from these courses:

• CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques
• Live Bloods Experience
• CPD Advanced Venepuncture Techniques
• CPD Cannulation

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Anyone can attend this course. It is designed to take you from absolute beginner, to advanced practitioner, in a weekend.

We have trained:

• Biomedical Research Assistants
• PhD students
• Beauticians
• Even dog breeders!
• But most importantly, our courses are designed for all absolute beginners interested in a new career in health care.

EQUIPMENT

You will train using training aids, including arms, and feet. Using a variety of new equipment you might not have had a chance to get hands on with before, including cannulas / IV catheters, syringes, aspiration / Monovette equipment, and blood cultures.

TIMINGS

This is a 2 day course.

The course will start with an online element which will take you 3-4 hrs.

Day 1: With most of the theory out of the way, we can concentrate on the practical elements. There is a lot to squeeze into one day, so please be prepared for a long day. The course starts at 09:30, and, depending on the size of the group, can continue until 16:30 or 17:00.

There may be additional time required at the end for the Live Bloods Experience.

Day 2 will start at 09:30, and, depending on the size of the group, can continue until 16:30 or 17:00.

Although this course is normally taken over a weekend, it is possible to split it over 2 weekends. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

GROUP SIZES

Group sizes are kept small, to get the best 1:1 experience with the trainers. Minimum group size is 2. Maximum group size is 8.

ACCREDITATION

All of our courses are provided by our sister company iN phlebotomy training, and are accredited by the CPD certification service, which means they are internationally recognised as part of your portfolio of training.

This course counts as 20 CPD hours.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the course. Kettle and microwave facilities are also available. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

LOCATION

Courses are either delivered in our Training Centre in Bakersfield Medical Centre in Nottingham, or at Chase Health, Wimbledon in London.

COURSES AT YOUR PREMISES (£1,400)

We can also come to your premises to train up to 6 members of staff on a day that will suit you. Courses can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.
