COURSE CONTENT

This course offers three options to attain a Certificate of Competency: Clinical, Virtual and In-House Supervision.

Self Certification

Following on from your CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques course, if you can find 5-10 volunteers, you can take their blood, under observation, and earn a Certificate of Competence.

If you are lucky enough to find your own placement in a local clinic or you know or work with an experienced phlebotomist or other health care practitioner who is happy to supervise you, then you can complete an Assessment Record. Once this is sent back to us completed, we can send you your Certificate of Competence.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Anyone who has completed the CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques course, but is now looking for opportunities to get real work experience and show proof of competence on their CV.

EQUIPMENT

Your place of work may be happy to supply you with equipment, but if you need equipment to complete this certificate you can purchase a Venepuncture Starter Kit, which will give you all the kit you need to take 10 bloods.

TIMINGS

You will complete this course in your own time, there is no time limit.

ACCREDITATION

All of our courses are provided by our sister company iN phlebotomy training, and are accredited by the CPD certification service, which means they are internationally recognised as part of your portfolio of training.

This course counts as 10 CPD hours.

LOCATION

Self certification can be achieved in the comfort of your own home or place of work.
