COURSE CONTENT

This course offers three options to attain a Certificate of Competency: Clinical, Virtual and Self Certification.

Virtual

Our Virtual Competency Course is one of a kind, and the only way to achieve competence in your own time, in your own home, with your own volunteers. We’re very proud of it!!

Following on from your CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques course, if you can find 5-10 volunteers, you can take their blood and record yourself doing it. Your first blood will have been completed on the course (as part of the Live Bloods Experience). The second blood is completed as part of a Zoom call with your mentor. The following 7 bloods are completed in your own time, with your mentor watching the videos, and giving you feedback between each blood draw. And the final, 10th, blood is drawn as part of another Zoom call, where you’ll get your final sign off.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Anyone who has completed the CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques course, but is now looking for opportunities to get real work experience and show proof of competence on their CV.

EQUIPMENT

You will receive a Venepuncture Starter Kit as part of enrolling on this course, which will give you all the kit you need to take 10 bloods.

TIMINGS

Your first and last virtual bloods will be completed over a Zoom call, under supervision from your mentor. All the intervening blood draws can happen in your own time. There is no time limit to complete the course.

ACCREDITATION

All of our courses are provided by our sister company iN phlebotomy training, and are accredited by the CPD certification service, which means they are internationally recognised as part of your portfolio of training.

This course counts as 10 CPD hours.

LOCATION

Virtual competency can be achieved in the comfort of your own home or place of work.
